Portland Art Galleries

(Portland, Oregon - OR, USA)

The art scene in Portland is quite unstoppable, with a plethora of galleries and regular creative events being found all around the city. There is even a designated 'first Thursday of every month' art night in Portland, where gallery doors open late and see a vibrant buzz of art viewing activity, accompanied by live music performances and wine tastings.

The premier gallery in the whole city is without question the Portland Art Museum, which ranks amongst the oldest in the whole of the Pacific Northwest, being established as far back as 1892 and located just across from the Oregon Historical Society. As well as its numerous galleries and indoor attractions, there is also an open-air sculpture garden to enjoy on sunny days.
